The Pediatric Airway Disease Clinic performs an accurate diagnosis for severe laryngeal/airway diseases (laryngomalacia, congenital and acquired subglottic stenosis, tracheomalacia, and other congenital airway diseases) and high-difficulty surgical treatment suitable for each disease (endoscopic surgery, balloon dilatation, cartilage graft, end-to-end anastomosis, etc.). A variety of other diseases often accompanies airway diseases, so we strive to determine appropriate treatments and manage them before and after surgery through close cooperation with various pediatric medical divisions (intensive care department, respiratory department, rehabilitation medicine department, anesthesia department, etc.). We also operate specialized clinics such as the Cochlear Implant Center, Allergic Rhinitis Clinic, and Pediatric Airway Disease Clinic, and maximize patient satisfaction through management that includes cochlear implant coordinators, allergic rhinitis research nurses, etc.

The Cochlear Implant Center has been leading in domestic cochlear implant surgery, surpassing 1,000 cases in 2010 since the first cochlear implant surgery in Korea in 1988. In addition, the Allergic Rhinitis Clinic has a system of close collaboration with the Department of Pediatric Dermatology and Pediatrics through the Children’s Hospital Allergy and Asthma Center, based on abundant clinical and research experiences on allergic rhinitis and related complications and sublingual immunotherapy.
