Pediatric Neurosurgery

The Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Seoul National University Hospital was established separately from the Department of Neurosurgery in 1982. Since the opening of the Children’s Hospital in 1985, we have been providing the best treatment to patients based on extensive clinical experience and the know-how of professional medical staff in each field. Currently, the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery is composed of 5 professional faculty members, fellows, residents, and professional nursing personnel, and is making efforts to relieve patient pain and restore health by performing more than 600 surgeries per year. By operating the Pediatric Clinical Neuroscience Center, we are actively conducting clinical research as a research-centered hospital in cooperation with various divisions while conducting medical treatment, and play a leading role in research in publishing more than 50 papers a year in international journals.

In addition, by operating spinal dysraphism clinic, spasticity clinic, and craniofacial clinic, we are working hard to provide multidisciplinary treatment services with orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, urology, plastic surgery, and ophthalmology departments.
