Neuropsychiatry

The Psychiatry Department at Seoul National University Hospital consists of psychiatric professionals such as professors, fellows, residents, and clinical psychologists, and is involved in various activities such as patient care, professional training program, psychiatric research, and public psychiatric project.

Our department diagnoses diseases through psychiatric interviews and tests and provides integrated treatment for each patient by taking biological, psychological, and environmental factors into consideration. We provide the best treatment with our special clinics that specialize in various diseases such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorder, dementia and elderly mental illness, mental and physical disorder, addiction disorder, and sleep disorder. We offer various types of inpatient treatment such as open wards, protective wards, and day hospitals in addition to outpatient care and cooperative medical care for patients who are being treated in other departments.

We are responsible for psychiatry and behavioral science education at the College of Medicine, Seoul National University and train excellent professionals through our resident training. We conduct various research in the field of study and publish outstanding research results in various international conferences and academic journals. We are also actively participating in public medical projects with our Community Mental Health Center, Dementia Center, and Sunflower Center.
