The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Seoul National University Hospital, which has a long history and tradition, leads in education, research, and treatment as a cutting-edge department for the promotion of women’s health. For treatment, we provide the latest diagnosis and treatment for various female diseases such as pregnancy, benign gynecological and malignant diseases, infertility and fertility preservation and endocrine diseases, and urology and gynecology diseases. In addition, we strive to present various topics in research through enthusiastic academic activities every year, and are acquiring and introducing advanced medical technologies. Besides this, we publish papers in leading domestic and international academic journals and receive research grants on various topics to conduct in-depth research on female diseases. In the case of education, meetings for each department of Obstetrics, Gynecological Cancer, Reproductive Endocrinology, and Urogynecology are continuously conducted as well as several academic colloquiums. We also conduct education on diagnosis and treatment of female diseases by hosting conferences based on a close connection with other departments such as Pediatrics, Pathology, Radiology, and Radiation Oncology.

Intensive treatment and research on high-risk pregnancy, fetal treatment, diagnosis and treatment of benign gynecological and malignant tumors, treatment of infertility and preservation of fertility, treatment of underage female diseases, menopause management, diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse are carried out.
