The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine provides comprehensive clinical care for various lung diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Services include diagnosis and treatment of infectious lung diseases, benign or malignant lung tumors, airway diseases such as COPD, pulmonary vascular diseases and interstitial lung diseases. In addition, the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is in charge of the MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit) and plays a critical role in the management of patients with cough, sputum or shortness of breath. Special tests and procedures available include bronchoscopy, pulmonary function assessment and exercise stress testing.
Members of the division actively participates in many education programs including the Pulmonology Conference every other week, Lung cancer Conference every Tuesday afternoons, Conference of Contemporary Knowledge in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine held every Wednesdays, Research Journal meeting every Thursdays and the Clinical Journal Meeting which is held every Friday morning.
