The Breast Care Center at Seoul National University Cancer Hospital has been striving to become one the best centers in the world in this field since its opening in 2004. As a result, our center not only leads the field of breast cancer treatment in Korea, but also provides high-quality care comparable to that of the world’s leading medical institutions. With more than 2,400 breast surgeries per year, we are pursuing our two goals, “treatment of breast cancer” and “aesthetic satisfaction,” through multidisciplinary care and oncoplastic surgery techniques working with various departments and specialists. We are leading the path in patient-customized medical care in which a treatment strategy is determined for each patient, including those based on genetic and genomic characteristics of individual breast cancers through personalized analyses.

A variety of treatments including surgery (curative and reconstructive), systemic therapy (chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immune therapy, and endocrine therapy), radiation therapy, and rehabilitation are all essential for the management of breast cancer . The biggest advantage of the Breast Care Center at Seoul National University Cancer Hospital is that patients can receive medical care from a variety of excellent departments including Surgery, Medical Oncology, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Rehabilitation Medicine, Psychiatry, and Family Medicine. Our center provides the integrated medical care that patients with breast cancer require such as rehabilitation after the initial treatment, medical care for long-term survivors, and mental support. Education programs on breast cancer are held for breast cancer patients 2-3 times a week and offers independent education sessions on management and exercise after breast cancer surgery. Our counseling nurses specialized in breast cancer are responsible for providing consultation throughout the entire treatment and surgery/treatment journey.

We are leading innovative clinical trials and translational studies impacting patients and breast cancer care providers globally.
