Seoul National University Hospital Ranked No.1 in Brand Power for 26 Consecutive Years
Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) has been ranked No.1 in the general hospital category for 26 consecutive years in the “2026 Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI)” survey, conducted by Korea Management Association Consultants (KMAC).
The K-BPI survey was based on one-on-one interviews with 12,800 consumers residing in Seoul and six major metropolitan cities. SNUH achieved outstanding results across key evaluation criteria, including brand awareness, image, accessibility, and preference.
Since its establishment in 1885 as Daehan Hospital, Korea’s first Western-style national hospital, SNUH has led the advancement of healthcare in Korea for over 140 years.
In particular, SNUH continues to lead innovation in medical artificial intelligence and data-driven precision medicine through its SNUH Healthcare AI Research Institute and its proprietary AI agent platform, “SNUH AI.” The hospital is also recognized globally for its expertise in treating complex and severe diseases, as well as for its achievements in organ transplantation and robotic surgery.
To further strengthen its global research capabilities, SNUH has established a Global R&D Hub Center in Boston, expanding international collaboration in advanced biotechnology and digital health.
At the same time, SNUH is actively investing in future healthcare infrastructure and strengthening public healthcare systems. As part of these efforts, construction has begun on the 800-bed Seoul National University Baegot Hospital, a smart hospital designed to address essential healthcare gaps in the southwestern Gyeonggi region. In addition, SNUH is contributing to the expansion of national essential medical infrastructure by supporting the upcoming official opening of the National Fire Hospital and accelerating the development of the SNUH Heavy Ion Therapy Gijang Center.
Through these initiatives, SNUH continues to advance healthcare innovation while reinforcing its role as a leading national and global medical institution.
