The prevalence of allergy and immunologic diseases is not only high but also has been growing worldwide. As society becomes more industrialized, the incidence of allergic diseases is rapidly growing which results in the emphasis on its precise and comprehensive treatment. Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Seoul National University Hospital provides answers to various allergic diseases including allergic airway diseases such as bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis, gastrointestinal allergic diseases, skin allergy, and other systemic allergic conditions.
For advanced immunologic approach to improve patient care
Faculty members of our division have studied a wide spectrum of diseases and we proudly introduce a multifaceted approach to allergic diseases. Special clinic for patients suffering from chronic cough, elderly asthma, and drug allergy had been organized. Our affiliated allergy laboratory performs numerous clinical tests: allergy skin testing, methacholine bronchial challenge tests, rhinoscopy, sputum examination, and pulmonary function tests. In addition, the immunotherapy is performed to desensitize allergens in the immunotherapy clinic.
