The Department of Urology is a medical department dealing with urinary organs such as kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, etc. in the passages where urine is produced and stored and leaves the body, and organs related to male reproduction such as the penis, testicles, vasectomy, and prostate. It is a subdivision in surgical medicine that diagnoses diseases occurring in such organs and treats them mainly through surgery.

The Department of Urology at Seoul National University Hospital consists of 11 staff members, 5 fellows, and 12 residents, and faithfully conducts treatment, research, and education in the area of urology. The major diseases we treat are urinary system tumors (bladder cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, penile cancer, adrenal tumor), pediatric urinary disease (urinary congenital anomalies and congenital diseases), stones (renal/ureter stones and bladder stones), urinary tract infections (cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis, prostatitis), urination disorders (prostate hypertrophy, neurogenic bladder, nocturia, female urinary incontinence, ureter stricture, urethra stricture), female diseases( Cystocele) male diseases (male infertility, male sexual dysfunction), and other diseases that require kidney transplantation.
