Trauma Surgery
The Trauma Surgery is a division of the Department of Surgery that treats severely injured patients and plays a pivotal role in the Trauma Center of Seoul National University Hospital.
Severe injury is a serious threat to life, such as hemorrhagic shock or multiple organ dysfunction, caused by damage to major organs due to unexpected accidents such as traffic accidents, falls, industrial accidents, etc.
Severely injured patients are treated by a 24/7 in-house professional trauma team of the Division of Trauma Surgery in Seoul National University Hospital. The staff are doing the best to save the lives of trauma victims by performing initial resuscitation, emergency procedures and surgery, and intensive care.
