Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine

The Department of Pediatrics includes 27 faculty members each covering one of the following 11 specialties: pediatric immunology, neonatology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric endocrinology & metabolism, pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition, pediatric hemato-oncology, pediatric infectious diseases, pediatric nephrology, pediatric neurology, pediatric allergy & pulmonology, and pediatric critical care medicine. We are proud to say that each member of the faculty is actively engaged in either or both of the clinical and basic researches in the field of Pediatrics and is leading pediatric research in Korea.
Provide health care: There are 11 divisions (specialties) in our department to provide health care for children both at ward and outpatient departments. Prevention of and providing information about childhood disease: It is our responsibility to enhance the health and wellbeing of children and families in our community by providing vaccination and information about childhood diseases.
Education: The department of pediatrics is devoted to educating medical students, residents, and fellows, thereby nurturing the future generation of leaders in childhood health care. Research: We strive for better health care of our children by seeking new approaches to the treatment of childhood diseases.
