The Department of Internal Medicine of Seoul National University Hospital is striving to lead cutting-edge medical care in the 21st century through education, research, and treatment, with the tradition and honor of Seoul National University College of Medicine. As the largest department in Seoul National University Hospital, our medical staff consists of 100 professors, 150 clinical instructors, and residents.
In 16 wards, emergency rooms, and intensive care units, we treat more than 500 inpatients and 3,000 outpatients per day. We are also developing various educational programs of rare diseases for doctors as well as patients. In addition, we are running special clinics for rare and severe diseases.
We provide high-quality medical care based on the development of new medical technologies, through basic and clinical research and the training of excellent medical staff through innovative medical education.
The Department of Internal Medicine consists of 9 Divisions: Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hemato-oncology, Endocrinology, Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Nephrology, Infectious Diseases, and Rheumatology. We also manage a specialized hospitalist program and play a pivotal role in education, research, and treatment at Seoul National University College of Medicine and Seoul National University Hospital.
