- Coronary artery disease
We are in tertiary hospital and have many complicated and difficult cases. With these experiences we can maintain the technical excellence in treating coronary artery disease. We specialized in the complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for the bifurcation, left main, tortuous & calcified lesions using newest & best technique and drug-stents, rotablator, shockwave intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) and Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS). Regarding intermediate lesion, we use specialized technique of coronary physiology including fractional flow reserve, and instantaneous wave-free ratio for optimal clinical outcomes. We also perform cell therapy (MAGIC cells) through autologous peripheral blood stem cells in patients with acute myocardial infarction.
- Valvular heart disease
We actively perform nonsurgical treatment for patients with aortic stenosis, mitral stenosis, and mitral regurgitation using percutaneous transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), mitral valvuloplasty (PMV), and Mitraclip. Patients can be treated smartly & painlessly by catheter rather than open heart surgery with just several days of hospitalization. We use cutting edge TAVI valves including Edwards Sapien3 and Medtronic Evolut PRO for better clinical outcomes.
- Cardiac arrhythmia
We provide accurate diagnosis and treatment of all cardiac arrhythmia disorders. The cardiovascular arrhythmia team of Seoul National University Hospital, with a history of over 30 years, has been providing the best treatment of bradyarrhythmia with a pacemaker and of tachyarrhythmia with catheter ablation. We adopted the latest 3-dimensional mapping equipment to provide quick and accurate diagnosis and treatment of complex arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation, atrial tachycardia, and ventricular tachyarrhythmia, etc.). We treat pts with aortic aneurysm using nonsurgical catheter-based therapy (EVAR, endovascular aneurysm repair) or surgery depending on the severity of the disease or atherosclerosis of lower limbs
