Background

Dr. Byung-Mo Oh is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Seoul National University Hospital. Additionally, he served as Vice President at the National Traffic Injury Rehabilitation Hospital in Yangpyung, South Korea, close to Seoul.
He received his MD and PhD from Seoul National University College of Medicine. He completed his Rehabilitative Medicine residency at Seoul National University Hospital. Dr. Oh is the Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of Rehabilitation Medicine, the official journal of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the Associate Editor of Dysphagia and PM&R.
Animal models of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and recovery, imaging and blood-based biomarkers for TBI prognosis, and clinical trials on the efficacy of neuromodulation after stroke are among Dr. Oh's top research interests. His research has also earned him numerous accolades, including the award for Outstanding Oral Presentation at the 2021 Annual Meeting of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Oh has also received research grants to investigate diverse topics, including the safety and efficacy of botulinum toxins in subjects with post-stroke upper limb spasticity and developing a multiplex protein biomarker and diagnostic system for the early detection and prognosis of concussion.
