The Department of Pediatric Anesthesia of the SNUH Children's Hospital provides a full range of services from light sedation to general anesthesia for approximately 4,000 infants, children and teen under 16-years of age every year who undergo a wide variety of surgical procedures. Provides consultation for cardiopulmonary resuscitation at pediatric and neonatal intensive care units and the other area of Children's Hospital, as well as treatment of children with respiratory disease, and providing postoperative pain control services.

The Department of Pediatric Anesthesia of the SNUH Children's Hospital has the role of pediatric anesthesia training programs for residents of the Department of Anesthesia in Seoul National University Hospital, and participates in the education of medical students in Seoul National University. Anesthesiologists are available 24 hours/day for consultations.
