The Department of Anesthesiology carries out not only general anesthesia, but also Obstetrics anesthesia, Cardiopulmonary anesthesia and Transplantation anesthesia, and is rare in that it operates a pain treatment room and a pre-operation analysis room. It also helps relieve patients from pain, which may happen after operation by implementing a post-operation pain control program. The Department not only provides medical services to patients but also provides education on the overall issues of the Department and its sub-divisions to residents and medical students. Also, we continually provide the highest standards & guidelines of anesthetic service to medical staff through re-training courses. The research activities of the Department are helping to improve such guidelines.
