The Department of Neurology manages disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system such as cerebral vascular accidents, epilepsy, movement disorders, dementia, peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, encephalitis/meningitis, vertigo, back pain, multiple sclerosis, syncope and headache.

In Korea, the aging population is increasing so rapidly that cerebrovascular disease and neurodegenerative disorders such as dementia and Parkinson's disease are beginning to develop into significant national health issues. However there are many promising results for the treatment and prevention of these disorders being seen in on-going research.
