What
happens in the case of emergencies when proof of Korean Medical
Insurance is not immediately available? |
The patient must pay with cash or a credit card for all services rendered. Then within a week they can provide proof of coverage and receive a reimbursement from the Hospital.
Will Korean Medical Insurance cover all my medical expenses? |
No, it they will only cover a percentage of your total hospital fees. Therefore, we ask that you prove you are financially able to cover all the costs for services rendered, or have a qualified Guarantor provide the funds on you behalf.
What happens if a guarantor can not be provided? |
A deposit will be required prior to your admission to the Hospital.
How is the value of the Deposit determined? |
The deposit amount will be calculated from a percentage of the projected medical costs plus an individual assessment of you financial situation.
During a long stay at the hospital, is it possible to have an overnight stay outside the Hospital? |
Yes, but you will be billed for that night even though you stayed at another location.
How do
I know about the status of my account while admitted in the Hospital? |
Once a week an interim invoice will be sent to your room.
Where do I settle my account upon being discharged? |
You can pay your bill at the CHB bank branch on the 2nd floor of the Main Hospital.
