About International Healthcare Service (IHS)
Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH), the leading health care facility in Korea,
has now extended its services and programs in response to an increase in demand from international residents and tourists in Korea. Its services and programs include inpatient, outpatient and emergency care from a comprehensive range of advanced specialty fields.

SNUH's International Healthcare Service (IHS) was founded on June 1, 1999 with the aim of increasing convenience for patients and of enhancing the efficiency of such medical services as registrations, payments and general treatments to name a few.

In other words, the IHS provides a one-stop service for all your medical needs.

We have bilingual doctors (Korean-English) in every medical department. International clients may consult the IHS by phone, e-mail, fax or personal visit and can easily make appointments with relevant departments.

When patients visit our hospital for appointments, they will be escorted to the department most appropriate for their medical needs. We will assist the patient with interpretations and provide information services throughout the course of the examination and treatment.

We also operate a 24-hour emergency call center to respond promptly to emergency situations whenever they arise.

In addition, the IHS can provide necessary documentation in English after the physician's confirmation (certificates regarding medical condition, outpatient status, hospitalization, receipts, birth, vaccinations and so on).

For clients who are covered by private/international medical insurance, we can make direct appointments with the required specialist(s). As per the terms of the NHI guidelines, however, clients covered by the Korean National Health Insurance Program(NHI) must first meet a family medicine doctor prior to meeting with any medical specialists.
